A perspective on perspective: Imagine what its like without one. (Think about the photographer who went crazy trying to get a closeup picture of the horizon (sw)) Right now you're sitting in a chair inside your house on your street in a city which is part of a state on a continent on this planet Earth. There are 5 billion of us all different but the same like grains of sand by the oceans. The expression "as above, so below" applies everywhere including the Marketplace. We're only interested in what has an effect on us. The stock market's been going up for the last 200 years but most traders don't know that. How about the "K" wave with its 50+ year cycle. Day traders can obviously care less. Somewhere in between tic data and infinity lies the proper view. All things are relative but of a different scale or octave. What effects the whole planet might be too broad in scope. Years, seasons of time, monthly reports, daily news or instantaneous rumors or events offer different time horizons to take advantage of. Although to some, it is just not long enough. Quality over quantity still rules. Then maybe one more sweep into the grandiose scheme of things should be identified. Picture this if you can. Our planet, one of nine going around an average star, is part of billions of stars in our galaxy. The nearest neighbor outside the solar system is about 23 trillion miles away. You know 23,000,000,000,000 miles (4+ light years). Our Milky Way galaxy is among thousands of others in a cluster. These clusters are tied together with millions and billions of other clusters on a floating thread-like structure scattered through space. Is that all there is? Don't know. Standing on some very high place allowing us to see all, maybe with a curved universe we would see the back of our head. Is that real hindsight ... or just seeing everything from many perspectives. For all we know our little universe might be some science fair project for a grammar school alien. Possibly even a Golden-Calf deity wannabe's Chia Pet or some other flight to fantasy. Perspective is always in the eyes of the beholder. You can see whatever you want and charts easily afford us this opportunity. You're glad you bought something now that someone else couldn't wait to get rid of. It really is amazing and it happens all day long every day. The view needed to be taken should be geared to what it is you need to see objectively. Assumedly you know ahead of time what you're looking for in the first place and WHY. MarkeTree... 8/95
