In an effort to find textures that would work well with copper and glass, I started to work with stage blasting. Stage blasting is the cutting away of glass with a sand blaster-cutting through the sandblast resist-recutting the resist or retaping the resist to cut away a prescribed pattern to get a multi-leveled pattern of glass for texture and sculptural effects.
