What can I say, yes another sled added to the growing
collection.
I originally went to get this sled in response to
an ad I posted looking for a good seat to use on the Cheetah (same seat
but it doesn't have the Leopard skin material like the Cheetah) and with
the thought that I could use some of the other common parts for the Cheetah
restoration. After seeing the sled in person, it was in too good
of shape to part out and so it was added to the collection. As bought
it has handwarmers installed and a previous owner had changed the stock
Walbro carburetor to a Mikuni set up like on the 76 and later sleds.
1975 was the first model year for the Pantera name and it uses the 1975
Panther chassis and hood along with the Pantera decals. The dash,
rear storage compartment, center mounted gas tank, and seat are the same
style as the 74/75 Cheetah's except the seat doesn't have the Leopard skin
material like the Cheetah and has orange striping on it.

And after new hood decals.
For some reason, the Pantera decals don't want to
scan that good from the photo's.
Update 2008:
After 7 years of searching for a good pair of front vents that are not
cracked I finally found a pair at the Vintage Snowmobile Parts Center
