The USS Lockwood FF-1064 was the first of three Knox Class
Frigates (USS Capodanno FF-1093, USS Marvin Shields FF-1066) I served on
during my 14 year Naval Career (Sept 1981 to Sept 1984).
Unlike the Marvy Do and the Cappy that ended up
in foreign service, the Lockwood met her end by scrapping. According
to the Naval Vessel Register, she was officially disposed of by recycling
on 08/04/2000.
