The cemetery is the only land mark left of Old Eden (Eden Park).
The gate and large cross were on the east side of the cemetery.
The following is a partial list of those buried there as some of
the graves are unmarked and I was unable to find a list of the
people buried there except one list and that was written in
German. Rudy Aldentaler Baby, Ann Steiner (daughter of Frank
Steiner, Sr.) Patsch Baby 1910, Patsch Baby 1910, Schwartz Twins
1910, Mikel Opitz 1915, Elizabeth Opitz 1915, Elizabeth Opitz
1912, Leo Opitz 1912, Mrs. Carl Fleishhacker, Fink baby, Stephan
Opitz 1918, Mrs. Stephan Opitz, 1928, Baby Patsch 1909, (grandma)
Patsch 1909, Mrs. J. Schwartz, John Deutsch 1911, Hildegard
Deutsch (Baby), George Streier baby, Carl Wachlter 1907, Mary
Janisch, Michael Janisch, Mrs. Stephan Janisch (Balt Janisch's
mother), Mrs. Lewis Deutsch, Fink baby, Mrs. Mike Janisch, Tony
Deutsch 1918, Joe Samson baby, Carl Salzler 1903, Mike Weier,
Mrs. Gillis 1910, Mrs. John Thuringer 1915, John Thuringer 1928,
Rose Orslan, Mrs. Cordie 1931, Martin Koenig, Val Thuringer 1941,
Frances Deutsch, Tony Deutsch, Cordie, Cordie, Matties Kochevar
1901, Julius Michlitsch, Math Halbauer, Rosalie Kotechvar and
three Smith children. There are many more graves in this cemetery
but hope this list will help some who would like to know where
some relative is buried. Many of the tombstones and markers have
fallen over or been covered with grass and sod but Eden Parish
has tried to keep the grass mowed and in recent years flowers
were found on the graves so we know that these graves are still
visited by relatives and friends.
