Naturalization:
First Papers: Douglas County District Court, October 20, 1874. Arrived
in United States on or about October 16, 1874. Renounced allegiance
to the Emperor of Prussia.
Also getting first papers on Oct. 20 and arriving on Oct. 16 from Prussia:
Peter Daas, August Pischke, and Michael Pischke.
Trans-Atlantic Crossing:
On October 6, 1874, the Korkowski family arrived in New York aboard
the S.S. Weser.
The ship's master was William Willigerod, and it
set sail from the port of Bremen, Germany with 246 passengers.
There were 11 Korkowskis aboard, including Mathias,
Eva,
and
"Franz".
Also aboard were the Michael and August Prischke families.

Land:
In 1886 "M. Kokoski" and " M. Pischke" owned 154.15 acres of land
in Millerville Township about 3 miles southwest of the Village of
Millerville (Section 33, Township 130 North, Range 39 West of the
5th Principal Meridian). The land was on the south edge of a swamp,
between land owned by Jacob Hagedorn and land owned by
Joseph Wagner.

In 1912,
Frank Korkowski
owned 162.85 acres of land near (John S. Wagner) including all of
his father's land after splitting the southern half to Mary Pischke.
This included part of the land that had earlier been a swamp. M.
Korkowski owned 182.70 acres neighboring Frank's land to the west
and part of the old swamp to the north (Sections 32 & 33). Eugene
Korkowski owned 160 acres neighboring
Isidor Ledermann's

was owned by Frank & Martin Korkowski, and Eugene's land was owned
